INSIDE THE FRAMEWORK
Three Parts. One Master Plan.
Each part answers a different question. Together, they help you understand the position and act with purpose.
Work through them in order — how you think, where you are, what you do next.

The Central Path
What do I do next?

IN PRACTICE
How the learning system works
The three parts are not separate subjects. On the mats they run in sequence, every time.
- 1
First, see the position.
Identify the positional perspective and each person’s immediate goals.
- 2
Then, control the variables.
Use the mechanics of posture, connection, hand control, and turn control to limit your opponent’s options.
- 3
Finally, follow the path.
Take the next useful action, observe the reaction you create, and continue toward control, transition, or a finish.
