How The Master Plan organizes the positional structure of Jiu-Jitsu.

The Master Plan gives the art a structure. Its positional chapters show how the major positions relate, what each side is trying to accomplish, and how control leads to transitions and finishes.

This larger view makes the details easier to place. A grip, angle, or technique has meaning because you understand the problem it solves and where it takes you next.

Study each position from its relevant top, bottom, offensive, or defensive perspective. See its goals, threats, and connections to the rest of the game.
